I have always been proud to tell people I am a Texan. In fact, I am a 7th generation Texan.
A few years ago a friend asked me "why are you so proud to be a Texan." I quickly responded with a list of reasons. I am especially proud of my families history in Texas. If you visit the Battle of San Jacinto Monument you will find my ancestors names on it.
When I first started dating my husband I couldn't wait to show him Texas. I couldn't wait for him to see the Alamo, the wild flowers that line the roads in the spring, and the Texas hill country.
But my friends question stuck with my. Why was I so proud to be a Texan?!
This project explores my Texas Roots. I spent time traveling across Texas photographing different things that make Texas, Texas.
